This web-based course offers six hours of interactive information about the history and culture of Italian Jewry over two millennia. Whether you're planning a trip to Italy or simply interested in exploring the topic digitally, we’ll help you discover the people, places and key events that make this one of the most compelling stories of the Jews in Europe. With hundreds of illustrations, maps, informative video clips and recommended readings as PDF files, you'll visit Italy knowing more than most tour guides. Content will be available to registered students February 1 — July 1, so you can learn on your own time, at your own pace. So jump onboard and travel with us!

Jehon GristJehon Grist, Ph.D., is a Senior Educator for Lehrhaus Judaica. He earned his doctorate in Near Eastern Studies from UC Berkeley, where he was a Regents' Fellow. He has conducted field research in Israel, the Gaza Strip, and the Valley of the Queens in southern Egypt.
