Intermediate/Advanced Biblical Hebrew 2D
We will complete our overview of the Hebrew verb system, and continue to build Biblical text translation and analysis skills, using Bibleworks software in class. We will also translate sample texts from the Hebrew Bible. For students needing review of earlier material, online links will be provided for recorded class sessions covering previous chapters of the text. Students who complete this course will qualify for entry into our Advanced Biblical Hebrew translation and analysis course, which covers a new topic and texts every semester.
Required text: The First Hebrew Reader, available at Afikomen Judaica.
Prerequisite: Lehrhaus Judaica's Beginning Prayerbook/Biblical Hebrew 1, 2A-C, or equivalent.
This course will be available to registered students at no extra charge via Zoom online conference services. Students may attend live in the classroom, live online or anytime via recording.
Note: April 22, 29, May 13, 20 and 27 sessions will be recordings distributed to students in advance. May 6 and June 3 sessions will meet at Lehrhaus Judaica in Albany and also be available live online and via recording.
