Intermediate Prayerbook/Biblical Hebrew 2A
The third semester of the introductory sequence of Biblical Hebrew grammar, this course covers the more complex features of the language commonly found in Biblical and Siddur (prayerbook) texts. We will continue to introduce features of the verbal system and new grammatical components, including the past and future tenses, and relative clauses. Students will read more lengthy Prayerbook passages to develop reading and comprehension skills. For students needing review of earlier material, online links will be provided for recorded class sessions covering previous chapters of the text.
Prerequisite: Lehrhaus Judaica's Beginning Prayerbook/Biblical Hebrew 1A-1B, or equivalent.
This course will be available to registered students at no extra charge via Zoom online conference services. Students may attend live in the classroom, live online or anytime via recording.
Note: April 22, 29, May 13, 20 and 27 sessions will be recordings distributed to students in advance. May 6 and June 3 sessions will meet at Lehrhaus Judaica in Albany and also be available live online and via recording.
