Jewish and Indigenous Communities: Lessons From Standing Rock

This course was offered in Winter/Spring, 2017.

Join us to hear from Briana Ruiz, a member of the Indigenous community and a leader in Idle No More SF Bay, and Ami Goodman, a physician and member of our local Jewish community, as they discuss the struggles and successes of community engagement from the Jewish and Indigenous perspectives. We’ll hear about their time at Standing Rock and what motivated them to go, what they learned there, what knowledge and inspiration they’ve brought back with them, what can yet be done in support of the struggle of the Water Protectors, and how the two communities can learn from one another in the years ahead.
