Rabbi Gershon AlbertRabbi Gershon Albert was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. After becoming observant in his teens, he studied at Yeshivat Netiv Aryeh and earned a BA from Yeshiva University and Semicha from RIETS. Rabbi Albert and his wife Meira (Tirschwell) Albert have served as senior rabbi and rebbetzin of Congregation Beth Jacob Congregation since 2014. They pride themselves on the synagogue's diverse membership, communal warmth, and spiritual and intellectual engagement with Torah, Tefillah, and Gemilut Chasadim. Rabbi Albert is passionate about inspiring community members to taking the next step in their Jewish journeys by sharing Torah that is intellectually stimulating, committed to Halacha, open and embracing to Jews of all backgrounds, and engages in the nexus between tradition and modern life.
