What Color are Jews? Exploring the Diversity of Our Community Locally and Globally

This series is no longer offered.

Local photographer Bryan Schwartz documented the global Jewish community in Scattered Among the Nations. This exhibit challenges the stereotypes of what Jews look like. But are we more comfortable with Asian or Black Jews in exotic locations than with the person sitting next to us in shul? What is it like to be Jewish and Black or Jewish and Asian in the Bay Area? Do multiracial Jews feel accepted in the local Jewish community? Is there a difference for Jews of color raised Jewish and those who convert?
