What Really Happened in the Exodus? A Discovery Day for Kids and Parents
Jewish tradition tells us to live Passover as if we ourselves were there with Moses over 3,000 years ago. This class gives you a chance to do just that. We will discover the land of Egypt at the time of the Exodus, which was probably in the reign of the great king Ramses II (1279-1213 BCE). How did kings, slaves, and ordinary people live at the time of the Exodus? What did they eat? What gods did the Egyptians worship? What was their writing like? What really happened in the Exodus miracles?
To answer these questions and more, we'll taste Egyptian foods, write Egyptian hieroglyphs and and take a virtual tour of ancient Egypt to get the answers. Students will have the option of visiting San Jose's Rosicrucian Museum after the session.
