Introduction to Judaism (Winter)
Designed for Jews who seek a deeper connection with their heritage and for non-Jews wanting a greater understanding of Judaism, this course offers an opportunity to study biblical and Jewish texts, try Jewish practices, socialize and gain insight relevant to your life. No prerequisite necessary.
This class will meet for 10 sessions, plus two Sabbath or holiday meals, to be scheduled with the group.

Instructors
Rabbi Elizabeth Goldstein is a PhD candidate in Hebrew Bible at UC San Diego. She was ordained in 2001 from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in New York and currently resides in Stan Mateo. She is completing her dissertation, "Impurity and Gender in the Hebrew Bible" and has contributed to several publications, the most recent of which is The Torah: A Women's Commentary.
