David Perlstein, who taught himself to read biblical Hebrew, spent 12 years researching and writing God’s Others. A resident of San Francisco with his wife Carolyn, he guides Lifelong Learning at Congregation Sherith Israel. David has led numerous Torah Study sessions, taught courses on Job and TV’s Jewish Sitcoms among others, and lectured in synagogue, church and university settings. A retired advertising creative, he has written both short stories and novels. David holds a bachelors degree in English Literature from Alfred (New York) University and a master’s in English from St. Mary’s (San Antonio) University.
