Beginning Prayerbook Hebrew

This course is no longer offered.

This class is for individuals with little or no knowledge of the Hebrew alphabet, grammar or vocabulary. We will brush up on the Hebrew letters and vowels, practice reading prayerbook vocabulary and learning prayers of students' choices. Emphasis will be on roots of words, definitions, increasing prayerbook vocabulary and improving pronunciation and fluency in prayerbook Hebrew.

Tikva Farber is a Hebrew and Judaic Studies teacher with over 20 years experience teaching adults, teens and children of all ages in Biblical, Prayerbook and Modern Hebrew. She is certified by the Israel Ministry of Education and is a faculty member of Brandeis Hillel Day School.
