Rabbi Andrea Berlin received ordination from Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion in Cincinnati. Prior to arriving at Temple Sinai in 1998, she led student congregations in Ohio, Arkansas, and Georgia. Rabbi Berlin is currently President of the East Bay Council of Rabbis and has served on a number of boards, including Jewish Family and Children’s Services of the East Bay, the Central Conference of American Rabbis’ committee on Israel affairs, and the Pacific Area of Reform Rabbis.
Rabbi Steven Chester is spiritual leader of Temple Sinai, Oakland. He has taught students from pre-school to college. He graduated from UCLA and was ordained at Hebrew Union in Cincinnati.
Rabbi Jacqueline Mates-Muchin is the associate rabbi at Temple Sinai, Oakland. A native of San Francisco and a graduate of University of California at Santa Barbara, she was ordained at Hebrew Union College, NY.
