Zohar Weiman-Kelman is a PhD candidate in the Department of Comparative Literature at UC Berkeley. She was born and raised in West Jerusalem, where she completed her undergraduate studies of Hebrew and Yiddish Literature at the Hebrew University. She is interested in exploring interfaces of modern literature, Judaism, and feminist theory. In her dissertation, she is focusing on a comparison between poetry written by women in Yiddish and Hebrew in the inter-war period.
