Courses by instructor: Rabbi Jennifer Clayman
Jennifer Clayman joins the Lehrhaus faculty this year for Philosophy Circle: Buber. She first encountered Buber as a religion student in college, where I and Thou and the works of other modern Jewish thinkers transformed her relationship with Judaism. In rabbinical school she developed a deep interest in teaching Jewish adults and wrote her thesis on the spirituality of adult Jewish learning. A spiritual seeker herself, and a lifelong outdoorsperson, she recently completed the Torah Trek Guides Track, a program focused on Jewish spiritual practice in nature. The former rabbi/educator at Congregation Beth Am in Los Altos Hills, Jennifer came to the Bay Area in 2008, and she lives on the Peninsula with her family.
